Don,
If you are manually transferring the files then:
1) Fire up the file transfer and go into Setup (File, Transfer..., Setup...)
2) Select the General tab, check the 'Show record size on File Transfer
dialog box' and click OK.
Each time you do a file transfer you can now specify the record size used on
the host. If you do not override the default value (0) then ASCII files will
still default to 80 byte records.
