<speculation>

I think that if you VSCLOSE the mirrored volume set prior to the =SHUTDOWN
then it may not matter whether or not the system reaches SHUT 6 because the
volume set is not mounted at the time of shutdown. If my speculation is true
the VSCLOSE will perform all synchronization steps and flag the volume set
as 'good' just as the shutdown process would.

I don't currently have a mirrored set to test with but when I get a chance I
will test it and report my results. In the meantime, if someone has the
opportunity to test this on a non-critical, non-production system and report
back sooner of course I think we would all be interested.

</speculation>

Doug.
