All support would be done here in the US. The unit in another country
is hosted on a UX box so that's not an issue.

We have HP-UX machines out the "wazoo". That sounds like our best option.

GUI's are for wussies.  However:

This could be important, should we ever need to do a F/W upgrade. Are
there still firmware updates being done on this unit that would cause
me to need to perform this function in the next couple of years? If
f/w dev is dead, then I don't think I'll be doing a f/w update!

Sounds to me like we'll either go serial or HP-UX/fiber direct. Thanks all!
