 I am having a problem connecting a modem to our HP3000. I
 have setup the
port on the DTC as below, but cannot get the modem to answer
 when a call
comes through on the line. I know that the modem is ok,
 because it works
when connected to another computer(not HP3000). What are the
 possible causes
 of this problem?

 Terminal type [10] (10, 18, or 24)
or terminal type file name [ ]
 Line speed [19200] (300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600,
 19200, or 38400
 bps)
 Record width [80 ] (1... 2048 bytes)
 Modem type [1] (0 - none, 1 - US, 2 - European)
 Modem behavior [1] (0 - none, 1 - DCE, 2 - DTE, 3 - DCE high)
Parity [NONE] (None, Even, Odd, 0's, or 1's)
 Speed/Parity Sensing? [Y] (Y/N) Allow :HELLO logon? [Y] (Y,N)
 Reset HP terminal? [N] (Y/N) NLIO device? [N] (Y,N)
 Hardware handshaking [N] (Y/N)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Thanks

 Gary Pastor
