Interestingly, the MPE/iX System Software Maintenance Manual for release
7.5, Chapter 3, Section 3.2 "General Planning Tasks" appears to be lifted
verbatim from the corresponding release 7.0 manual.
It indicates that any OS version EARLIER than 6.0 would require 2 updates -
first to 6.0 or 6.5, then another update to 7.0 - indicating that it's okay
to jump directly from 6.0 to 7.0.
It would be nice if the 7.5 manual would indicate what O/S version
prerequisites are applicable for updating directly to 7.5.
I would hazard a guess that you CAN go directly from 6.0 to 7.5 - although
I cannot find any official HP document that confirms that.
If the HPRC says it's okay, ask them what the source of their information
is - and whether it's available either publicly or to HP support customers.
