Hi,

Last week, I reported that I had a good experience calling the 800
number for requesting information on the flawed PA-RISC chips. The
people there (apparently the Atlanta Response Center) said they'd send
me the 3000 test program and that it would arrive in a couple of days...
and they clearly understood it was for the 3000.

Well, a package arrived today, via FedEx.

It was the test program for a 9000.

I called the Response Center again, (800) 500-1176, and was told
"oops, all the 3000 users were sent tapes for a 9000".
(I thought they were trying to send us a message, one we might not
have heard via HP Sales.)

They said they'd immediately send a 3000 tape to me.

I'll report back when the next package arrives.

In the meantime, I now possess a very expensive scratch tape!
