Okay, here's a real on-topic question, for a change! :-)

We have an HP serial printer (2933A) that is occasionally printing
garbage characters. There is no rhyme nor reason to it, just whenever
it feels like it. The set-up is: Series 948 to DTC to multiplexer to
radio modem to microwave radio link to remote radio modem to remote
multiplexer to remote printer. My question is "How can I debug this?"

Any suggestions are welcome (except for unnatural acts to be performed
on myself). Thanks.
