Many messages on this group have shown backward compatability to be a
key reason for MPE's popularity, user loyalty and occational fanaticism.
Though I find POSIX a desirable addition, it should not come at the
expense of the one element we enjoy the most.
 
Though no one called for a vote on this development, I would classify it
as a bug.
