ISTR some f8s that would take you out of a child process back to a
parent, but still leave the child idling for possible later re-use, and
all in the same VPlus session.

I did wonder if this was the old 'get the screen without pressing Enter'
schtick, where Brian needs to do a VREADFIELDS when the application
returns to his program with f8 rather than f0...

Could it be that, do you think?

Or does he just want the screen not to clear on the VPlus exit? I think
I've seen that when VPlus apps have aborted, so I suppose it ought to be
possible to do it deliberately.....
