That's the key here.  Regexps can be intimidating for novices to look at, but
they offer INCREDIBLE power for just a few keystrokes that would be truly
tedious and painful to duplicate the old pre-POSIX MPE ways.

Take the time to learn regular expressions; you'll be glad you did.  Go into
the POSIX shell and type:

        man regexp
