but when I do IOCONFIG, the system displays the root as 10, yet when I go to sysgen and do LP, it shows the root as 56. How can I change this?

I took the old system apart (it was S918 with Nike 20 disk array). I took the disk array and connected to the 969. The only thing I have is their SLT tape from Series 918. Series 969 came without any disk drives...

Thanks
Greg

IOCONFIG gets the information that was configured with SYSGEN in the IO
section. It is stored in files in CONFIG.SYS. The two systems have different
bus structures. You should have built a new configuration for the 969 in
SYSGEN, saved it in a new group in SYS, did an SLT generation with that
group, then used that SLT to INSTALL the system. You had to change the basic
startup configuration of the 969 for LDEV1, CONSOLE, and TAPE when you did
the install.

My customer had 918RX and just purchased HP969. I took their full sysdump
tape (which does have the SLT on it) and did an INSTALL on HP3000 Series
969.
The system comes up ok, however, SYSCONF shows path 52/56, yet the IOCONFIG
shows 10/16. Where is IOCONFIG getting the info and how can I change
SYSCONF to look at this location?

Any help or directions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot
Greg
