 And thanks to all responses.  The one I finally used (sort of) was:

That being the National Institute of Standards and Technology.  After
all if you can't trust your own government well .............ummm  ahhh.

So I also sent along the URL for their own corporate website which
has a whole raft of 2K issues.  *That* shut 'em up.  Don't know why
I didn't think of it sooner.  Wanna argue, go argue with corporate.
