While we're on the subject of creating PDF files on the 3000...

Just recently I noticed Apache FOP (formatting objects processor)
at the http://xml.apache.org web site. As far as I understand, it
provides a Java based Open Source software that can generate PDF
files from XML input files, optionally transformed with the help
of XSL stylesheets.

I did not spend a lot of time playing with it, but using their
examples, I was able to create a couple of PDF files on MPE/iX,
using only the Apache FOP package and Java/iX, of course.

Just in case someone else might feel inclined to play with it ;-)

Lars.
