Then she should probably read the book, if she has not, keeping in my mind
parental preview warning. The book does a somewhat better job representing
the daughters of Coalwood. And Dorothy proved Homer Hickam's equal,
benefiting from studying with him in some areas, and besting him in others.
Homer's mother certainly holds her own. And Mrs. Riley's role is better
told.
