Print to network or local printer? With Samba/iX the PC might also be able
to send printouts the MPE spooler and reach printers on the 3000 or DTC, too.

Would JetForm also be able to pick up data from a directory on a network
drive (which could be a Samba share and thus in fact an MPE/iX directory)?
Should work if the data can be passed in fixed binary or bytestream files.
