     Gary,

If you have any of the Robelle products, you get a utility report
program called "howmessy". This report shows the highwater mark along
with many other tidbits of data concerning the health of the chosen
database. I'm pretty sure this reports works even with users
     accessing the database.

Can anyone tell me how to determine what the high watermark is for a
datatset that is currently open? I have DBGeneral but it seems that I need
exclusive access to get the information. Any ideas?

Gary
