TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE, INC., a division of TIME WARNER, provides magazine
fulfillment to such popular Time Warner publications as TIME, PEOPLE and
SPORTS ILLUSTRATED.  We are currently seeking an HP3000 Administrator to work
at our state-of-the-art data center in our Tampa, Florida based administrative
facility.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:

* Provides support and administration for all TCS HP3000 systems.
* Performs detailed problem diagnosis and resolution for all HP3000 systems.
* Evaluates, procures, installs, customizes, tests and upgrades all HP3000
  system software, hardware, application packages and development tools.
* Modifies HP3000 system configuration files to support new hardware or
  software.
* Develops HP command files to provide additional functionality
  necessary for the TCS environment.
* Assists users with HP3000 system issues and general problem resolution.
* Works closely with MACS Production Group, Network personnel and MVS
  systems personnel.
* Develops and maintains appropriate project plans and associated
  documentation.
* Develops, tests, implements and updates comprehensive disaster recovery plan
  for all HP3000 systems.
* Performs detailed system capacity and performance analysis, tuning and
  reporting.
* Provides 24 hour on call systems support via pager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- 3 years experience as an HP3000 system administrator, administering multiple
  large HP3000 systems.
- 3 years experience with MPE/iX, TurboImage, Adager, NRJE, Security3000,
  SuprTool, TCP/IP and FTP.
- 2 years experience with HP3000 hardware.
- 1 years experience with token ring, FDDI and DNS.
- 1 years experience with common PC software, including Windows95, Excel and
  MS Word.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple
  projects concurrently.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.

POSITION PREFERENCES:

- Experience with MACS software and OCS/Express.
- Experience with IBM mainframe systems, such as MVS, JES2, CA7 and RACF.
