Greetings one and all,
I've just found out that we're installing a new time-clock system and the
decision as to which has just about been made. They're leaning heavily toward
a pc-based system (Chronos). Of course all our accounting is done on the HP,
so the HR information would have to be downloaded to the PC and the work hours
uploaded every week. Yuck. Is there any system out there which ties directly
into a 3000?

The bottom line for mathematicians is that the architecture has to be right.
In all the mathematics that I did, the essential point was to find the right
architecture. It's like building a bridge. Once the main lines of the
structure are right, then the details miraculously fit. The problem is the
overall design.
