The gateway (and EDIT :) are once again able to communicate
with the rest of the Internet. Monday morning a strong lightning
storm rolled through and although all of the systems are behind
UPS's, we ended up loosing a controller on the T1 line, our router,
a modem card, and two out of three analog phone lines. Sprint fixed
the T1 quickly, but the other items took longer. We're now running
with a router borrowed from our ISP, and should have our permanent
replacement here by tomorrow.
I just checked on the gateway, and it appears that it picked up
right where it left off, so no messages should have been lost.
I want to thank everyone for being patient with us as well as those
that offered us assistance while we were down. This is certainly
a great community!
Regards,
Michael L Gueterman
