Oh, the printer issue sounds interesting! My first tests did not work.
An "smbrun" function inside SMBD failed with an error 81 or alike, which
seemd to be related to getuid/getgid checks...

Did you use special tricks for the printer share? Guest logon?
Non-guest?

Thanks for joining the discussion, by the way. I appreciate your
Samba expertise and experience. We will definitely benefit a lot
from it (at least me ;-)

By the way, I would like to collect a "bad of tips and tricks" regarding
Samba config issues, PC side config issues, ideally in "MPE speech" for
the Samba/iX novice (like me). This would be a nice document to include
in the Samba/iX distribution (my current ReadMe files lack too much
here).

Of course, if someone else would volunteer to consolidate this
"tutorial",
I could spend my time on the filename mapping enhancements (hint hint :)

Cheers, Lars.

PS: Give me one or two more days for putting Samba 0.6 out on ftp.3k.com
