BTW, IMHO, currently the best smoked meat (Montreal's number 1 culinary 
claim-to-fame) can be found not at Schwartz's, not at Lester's, not at 
Ben's, not at Chenoy's but at a small hole in the wall restaurant in the 
suburb of Ile Perrot called Smoked Meat Pete's whose radio ads loudly 
proclaim "you can't beat Pete's meat" (don't ask).

Really, I thought Montreal's number 1 food claim-to-fame was poutine, that 
artery hardening mixture of potatoes, cheese and gravy... hmmmmm gravy...
