I realized my fault when I saw my posting (while doing HP3000-M filter
duties). TTYPE file names go in the spool file with a special code.
2680 PENV files go in with FDEVICECONTROL. But "somebody" (to avoid
being incorrect again) inserts FWRITEs with %320 CCTL of raw PCL, and
I suspect Formation PENV files with LaserJet compatible compilations.

And network printer spooler driver ignores TTYPE files, no? Or just
the "true" TTYPE files? I know it doesn't like anything with a filecode
over 1023 (1024?).
