I don't know if the system would recognize all 70-some gigabytes.  It
might...but I'm not sure I'd trust its ability to read/write beyond whatever
was the maximum largest disc on 5.5.  I'd think a reasonable alternative
would be to attach an array (like a mod20).  That way you can use physically
large discs but present 5.5-happy luns plus get some level of redundancy to
boot.            - d

Subject: [HP3000-L] 73GB Disc on 5.5

Has anyone successfully configured disk larger than 36GB on MPE 5.5?
Customer "may" NOT be able to migrate off of 5.5 and the only way to get the
enough disc space is to try going to 73GB drives.  It doesn't look like 73GB
are supported, but that doesn't mean someone hasn't successfully been able
to make them work.  Thanks.
