Special thanks to all of the listserver members for allowing me to
respond to some of these 'questions' about my original post.

I agree with Greg, that the candidates and current board members
should serve the entire membership. Even though most of the board has an
HP3000 background, it seemed to me that in the past, the HP3000 was
slowly being forgotton about by INTEREX. They seemed to be focusing too
much on the newer users like UNIX and NT. Maybe this was just an
incorrect perception on my part, but it was almost like INTEREX was
overly focusing on the other platforms to emphasize that they were a
multiplatform users group. Notice my use of the phrase 'in the past'.

The new structural changes that INTEREX is planning should really help
this or at least it helps change MY perception. I was even more excited
about running for the board after I learned of the structural changes,
mainly because the board has already done the hard part...turning the
ship around! It will be up to future boards to keep the ship sailing
fast into these unchartered waters for INTEREX....

O.K. I getting kinda goofy now with the metahpors, sorry...I'll quit
wasting bandwidth now.

INTEREX cannot afford to 'forget' any of its users, whether they are
1000's, 3000's, NT's, 9000's or workstations. (I probably forgot some
here like palmtops, but I'll learn.)
