Hello list members,
I am hoping someone can help me. We use a programming language - REX, and
have been since 1994. On Friday, May 3rd, I wrote and compiled several
programs. On Monday, May 6th, I added a tag file to one of the programs,
and tried to compile it, using REXPREP. The program would no longer
compile. I am running MPEix 7.00 To my knowledge, no one in my department
made any changes to the system. The error message I get is this:

38     FILE MT = "MEMTAG.DATA.CUTEST1" F26;
    39       MT-KEY   1-2  A2;
    40       MT-ACCOUNT  3-11 A9;
    41       MT-FILLER  12-26 A15;

    43     PROGVAR    ACCT A9;
    44                SX1 A2;
    45                CNT N6;
    46                WRITEIT A3;
    47                BAL1  Z12.2 AS [PIC = "$$$,$$$,$$$,$$$.99"];

[MGR.CUTEST1,REXJOBS]:

At first glance, it looks as if there is a compatibility problem with the
data, but this is a prep. There are 'compile errors' and there are
'run-time errors' in my documentation, there are no 'Program errors'. I
have sent my program to a friend who is a Summit client, as we are, with
the same data structure, and he can compile my programs at his site, no
problem. I have reloaded 'REX', with a new tape that I got from Sirsi.
 Some of my REX programs will compile, some will not. I have been in
contact with the technical support at Sirsi and he has tried to help, but
he feels something was changed in the configuration of the machine, and
told me to contact HP users on this list. No one in my department knows of
any changes that have been make to the machine. Any help you could offer
would be gratefully accepted.
Sincerely,
Susan Gatewood
