We use two products for this:

FontGen from VS Software, which converts an image into a Laserjet
downloadable font and Fantasia from Proactive Systems, which uses font
files stored on the HP to generate HP spoolfiles to print to Laserjet
printers.

FontGen runs on your PC to create the font file from your logo image and is
then uploaded to the HP and added to a font index file using Fantasia,
which assigns a font number to it.
