Dana,
This is from an internal support document:
Note that the support of SCSI Disk on CIO Systems does NOT extend to
all Disk
models. The current line of SCSI disks, C2461/62/73/74 ("Coyote III"),
will
NOT be supported on CIO systems via the CIO SCSI I/O card (P/N
27251A). This
is due to technical problems uncovered during our certification
testing. (CIO
systems are the S925, S935, S949, S950, S955, S960 and S980/x00.)
The issue is NOT with 5.0, 5.5 or any specific version of the OS. I
believe that the reason was/is firmware compatibility issues with the
CIO SCSI card (based upon the fact that they are supported on NIO
SCSI). These decisions were made 4+ years ago (around 3.0 days?) so the
specifics are a little vague in my mind...
Bottom line: Don't use these drives on a 950.
Your HP RCE should be easily able to find the above via KDB; sales reps
might have a bit harder time...

Jim Hawkins
