It gave nothing more that a colon (:) prompt and some stupid remarks when some simple commands were entered. Emulated a LISTF/LISTF,1/LISTF,2 pretty good. [...]51_25May199917:52: [log in to unmask] |

Hello Friends @ 3000-L,
Re: Re: Search priority of RESLVCNF, HOSTS and NMMGR/DNS and Caching

James, Thank you for the wonderful information below. It is very helpful. I am
attempting to read the formatted output of a NMLOG file and am trying to
determine the host's IP address that is providing a proxy and supplying an
address that is no longer used for a system. I've checked via NMMGR and all of
the systems are not enabled to be a proxy server and the incorrect system is not
configured on any of the HP3000's but the address is being resolved somewhere
and we would like to pinpoint it.. Is there a write-up somewhere that details
the output from NMDUMP and is it publically available. If so where can I go to
get a copy. Thank you for your time.

I am not sure I would use logging to determine "the address is being resolved
somewhere and we would like to pinpoint it..". I do not know if logging would
or would not include this data with out a bit of investigation. If I was you,
I would look at a link trace to determine this.
