A very good idea!

I use the free Apache/iX package.

Performance for pure HTML code is great. It may be different in using CGI
scripts. But basically it depends on your CPUs capacity.

Configuration is Apache standard - if you can use Samba and PFE it's very
easy but also if you are familiar with vi ( but the POSIX shell should not
hinder you at all ).

We didn't hit any problem so far ... beside one in a bad written CGI.

If you need more information don't hesitate to contact me off-line this
group.

Best regards, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

Subject: HP3000 as a Web Server

Hi,
I currently run a web Server on a NT box but would like to use my HP3000
959/200 as the web server for an intranet.
Could anyone who has setup HP3000 as a Web Server please let me know how it
performs and how easy it is to configure etc.
Any comments would be greatfully accepted.
