Well, at least in my case, I think I've nailed what's going on with e-mail
leaving my desktop.

With the help of a couple of posters, I've seen the headers leaving here in
messages - and it seems to be a crapshoot as to whether someone gets text or
whether they get an attachment. The common thread though, is Outlook 2000,
and the "Windows-1252" vs. the "ISO-8859-1" character sets.

My mailer is configured to use ISO-8859-1, and to toss plain text (unless
someone comes in with RTF, in which case, I need to set the reply to plain
text, if going to the list). The "crapshoot" may revolve around the Address
Book, and the defaults that get set when adding someone to said Address
Book. The Address Book settings override the overall settings for the
mailer.

I ask your indulgence for awhile while this is sorted out. It's been
reported, the headers have been forwarded for review, and the system itself
will be examined as well. It's well worth it as Office2000 is due to ship
soon.

Film at 11 :)

Cheers,
Joe
