There are several patches to Predictive on 7.0.
We are running patch OSPMX58A on our 969 without problems and no
configuration changes required during upgrade from 6.0.
- I believe this patch can be downloaded from HP, and applied through
Patch/iX without a system reboot.

RUN PSMOND.PRED.SYS;INFO="-k"
also do not forget to end the CSTM process by:
'RUN STMSHUT.DIAG.SYS'
Without this command, you will add several minutes between shut4 and shut5
on a system shutdown/reboot waiting for the CSTM pin to time out.
(Source if information was www.itrc.hp.com, patching information on patch
OSPMX58A.)

Short answer, yes. Both will save HSF or Posix File Space.
There has been past discussions on the advantage of the following:
:STORE @.pub.sys,@[log in to unmask]@[log in to unmask];*T;DIRECTORY;SHOW
as a better backup method to facilitate restoration of a system.
