By reading the image log files, we are going to try to keep a sybase
database in
sync with the image database.

No problem with Master files, you know the exact record that is being
updated or deleted.

But the problem is detail records.  We have a detail record, key is order
number.
If we read a log file showing an update has taken place on this record, how
do we know the
corresponding Sybase record that needs to be updated?

There is no "key" field that makes our record a unique record.
