Tim,
Have you modified the ualconfg.mailconf.hpoffice file to
set a timeout for the monitor programs (and other things)? We had to
do this before we got the databases shutdown. We also wait a decent
amount of time for hpdesk to shutdown, but if it doesn't, then it is
aborted.
