Although a complete port to MPE/IX would be fabulously performant, you
may be pleased to find out that MPE/iX supports, I believe, POSIX.1 and
POSIX.2, so porting an existing UNIX app. might not be as difficult as
you had thought. Porting to intrinsic MPE/iX calls would probably be
very intense, although you might enjoy it. :)
 
HP has a nice Website at www.hp.com from where you might find some
pointers to technical information like what you're looking for.
