Unfortunately there are a significant number of programs that parse the
output of the :SHOWJOB command (it is one of the first commands that supported
redirection of its output to a file, long before the MPE/iX CIOR features), so
you can't really get away with changing the default :SHOWJOB output format.
 
The right way to do this is to make it an option as HP suggests, and change
your 'J' (or whatever) udc to include this parameter.
