This is interesting! Could you expand on the mounting emc disks in read
only? Why do this? What other features are available for sites using emc
drives?

We just ordered MPEKXY0C for the purpose you specified. According to HP's
ITRC
web site's patch page, MPEKXT8E is superceded by MPEKXY0C.

I couldn't find a 6.0 equivalent of MPEJXX6A, but you should contact the
HPRC to
confirm this.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Patch Info

I am looking for information regarding two patches.

First, I have a copy of MPEJXX6A for 5.5. The patch allows read only
volume sets to be mounted from an EMC disk subsystem. Does anyone know if
there is a 6.0 version available?

Second, MPEKXT8A is required for use with EMC disk subsystems in order to
perform seemless firmware upgrades. I have heard that it was superceded by
MPEKXY0C. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks for your help.
