What O/S, Greg?

Do you have an internal drive working that you can run diags from?

It may well be the 28696A cards aren't up to 3728 or better f/w rev.

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] System abort 2173 from subsys 151

I am trying to build a new 979 machine. It has a wide scsi card and is connected to MOD20 disk array.
I start the system from Tape (using my custom sysgen tape) and at ISL prompt I type 'INSTALL'...

After couple of minutes, it comes back with:

System abort 2173 from Subsystem 151

and then I get System Halt 7

Greg is not in town and I would really appreciate a help!

Thanks a million in advance!
David Raschka

PS: I already verified that the primary path is correct and is pointing to MOD20 disk array.
Any suggestions will be appreciated!
