I just solved a similar issue with Reflection after I had switched Linux TERM
types.  Commands like ls are emitting tabs, and once I set my tabs stop in
Reflection all of the output lined up nicely.

I don't know about QCTerm and tab stops, though I need to learn soon since I
will be switching from Reflection to QCTerm once I put my new killer personal
Windows XP machine into production...
