Hello Rick, friends @ 3000-l,
Re: MPE/iX 5.0 & Bugs in 6.0 (or how to kill two replies with one story)
------------------------------------------------------------------- Rick says --
I attempted to update to 6.0 back on 11/21/98. After the install, when I went to
bring up our network, we received a version error. At the time, HP had no
solutions except to backdate to the previous version. The error was as follows;
NETCONTROL START;NET=LAN1
VERSION ERROR: BAD MODULE NETXPORTERR 4044

Two things to check:
1. Nmmaint,3 < verify no missing modules except 3 x.25 modules >
2. Run nmmgrver.pub.sys & convert nmconfig.pub.sys
3. Validate the configuration in NMMGR and verify you do not have any network
interfaces configured which no longer exist.
