Not that I disagree, but the internet and all its components have become
a commercial entity. If a marketing person wants to send it, we as
lowly programmers have little say. If we say it can't be or shouldn't
be done, we are viewed as obstructing them and removed or bypassed.

Publishers Clearing House. Coming to an email near you!!!

AMEN!!! If a company wants me to *avoid* buying from them, all they
have to do
is send me an unsolicited HTML email. I send such things directly to
Spamcop
without even reading them. Even email I *request* annoys me if it has
anything
but 100% plain ASCII text -- I recently unsubscribed from several
mailing lists
for that very reason.

IMO, the works "bulk," "HTML," and "email" should never be used
together!

Uh, sending email in HTML form is dumb, evil, and simply a bad idea.

Did I mention it's stupid?

And, it might even violate the ADA? (It certainly violates the
spirit of the ADA!)

Oh, did I mention it takes 3 to 30 times the bandwidth and local
storage?

Did I also mention that it disenfranchises some of your potential
readers?

DID I MENTION IT WAS A BAD IDEA?

Stan (hmmph!) Sieler :)
