Greetings,

I had noticed an interesting discrepancy between the results of CURRENT-DATE
and FUNCTION CURRENT-DATE operations in COBOL.

It seems that DISPLAY CURRENT-DATE returns '04/01/97', while FUNCTION
CURRENT-DATE returns '19930113'. Please note that the DATELINE intrinsic
agrees with CURRENT-DATE and returns
'TUE, APR 1, 1997, 12:39 PM'.

Can anyone explain the reasons for the difference?

Thanks,
Igor Yasno
