(possible double post, sorry!)
Hi,
I'm conducting a survey, and would like to know how many of you use
Large File DataSets in IMAGE. (An LFDS is a dataset with a capacity
larger than 4 GB, and is *NOT* a jumbo dataset.)
If you aren't sure, try the following (I'm using as an example set 23
of database SALES):
:calc finfo ("sales23", "sectors") > 16777216
that will return TRUE if the dataset is a Large File DataSet, and FALSE
otherwise
(Ok, it "returns" an error if the file doesn't exist or you can't
access it :)
If you have any LFDS:
- how big is their capacity (in GB)
- how big is the highwater mark (preferably in terms of GB, but
if not, I can calculate that if I know blocking factor and block
size).
If possible, please reply offline to: [log in to unmask]
I'll post the results.
thanks!
