We also have a 5N with firmware ver A.05.05 that prints with no
problems. As Mike stated,
create a file with the escape sequence for Landscape and enter in the
NPCONFIG file using setup_file.
However, I setup three printer device numbers for the same printer.
1017 (network_address = 195.4.4.254) # Pittsburgh NPIT01
2000 (network_address = 195.3.3.254) # COL Comp rm NCOL00
2100 (network_address = 195.3.3.254 # COL Comp rm
setup_file = LJ5COND.HPENV.SYS)# cond print
2110 (network_address = 195.3.3.254 # COL Comp rm
setup_file = LJ5CLND.HPENV.SYS)# cond print landscape
2001 (network_address = 195.3.3.253) # col_coll2
So, when I want portrait, I use device 2000. To print landscape device
2110.
For portrait and condensed, device 2100.
Hope this helps.
