Joe already covered some good stuff. I also used to get that error,
sometimes quite frequently, that is until I downloaded and installed the
Office 97 patch. That has solved all my problems with Outlook.

The patch can be found at
http://www.microsoft.com/Office/Office97/ServiceRelease/

Kind regards,

Denys. . .

Subject: off topic - novell and ms outlook

we have a novell 4.11 network, ipx/ip gateway for internet access, ms
outlook as email client. when we try to send attachments we get the
following error:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject: attachment - txt
      Sent: 10/29/97 10:20 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[log in to unmask] on 10/29/97 10:23 AM
No transport provider was available for delivery to this
recipient.

some attachments go through, i.e. html. however, text (.txt) and jpeg
files and others return the above error. messages with attachments can be
received, although sometimes the name gets changed a little.

if anyone has any ideas i would be extremely grateful for the insight.
even if it is just to point me is some direction to find information. i
have already searched the novell and microsoft sites unsuccessfully.
offline replies gratefully accepted as well.
