Having just finished Tom Clancy's "SSN - Strategies of Submarine Warfare" last
night: I believe Aegis is an air-defense system that can be deployed on either
cruisers or destroyers. Certainly the more well known is the Ticonderoga class
cruiser.

I will be happy to defer to an expert on this. However, maybe we'd better
switch the discussion to rec.aviation.military.naval before we waste too much
HP300-L bandwidth.

P.S. I (too) still have my nanosecond...

If my employer thinks my opinions are of no consequence, why should you?
