With regard to the RPG-to-C thread, I would think that an RPG "interpreter"
would be an order of magnitude simpler than a language translator.  It may
not fulfill your needs if you want to modify the code, but it seems the
most viable option (and possibly marketable as well).  RPG is a non-language
anyway (IMHO) and most of the "compilation" is plugging additions into a
fixed run-time module anyway (unless they did miraculous things with the
language after RPG-III which I have coded for food at one point in my life).
