Curious.
I believe, when going from 5.5pp7 to 6.0pp2, unless you are using cd for
the update, you must first use autoinst to update your FOS.
After that you can use autoinst or patch/ix to apply powerpatch 2.
After each one of the more than dozen times so far that I have used
patch/ix to apply 6.0powerpatch2 the user version has shown itself to be
C.60.02, as in:
MPE XL:hello manager.sys

Also, in each case, I have answered "yes" to the question, "do you want to
include FOS enhancements" (or to that effect).
The ability to automatically include FOS patches is the main reason I
prefer patch/ix over autoinst.
I do not know whether answering "NO" to that question could explain the
difference.
