I was wondering if anyone has any information about the Express 3 (?)
powerpatch release which is supposed to include Year2000 compliant routines for
MPE/iX 5.5 and is due in September 1997 (??). I have heard that there is going
to be such a release but I was wondering if anyone, particularly third-party
vendors, has already received at least the Year2000 routines as part of a
pre-release to start testing their code against.
Any information would be of interest about the Year2000 compliance of this
release.

Also, as an additional question, I have just started testing MPE/iX 5.5 and
have noticed a small (perhaps insignificant) difference with 5.0 With 5.0, if
you enter a colon (:) at the CI prompt (top level), you merely get INVALID
FIRST CHARACTER IN COMMAND NAME. If you do this on MPE/iX 5.5, it logs you off
the system. Is there a reason behind this or is it a "feature"?

Cheers,
John Dunlop
