Yes....annoyingly so.  It represents some degree of laziness on HP's part
... providing
functionality as a script *AND* not making it clear in documentation that
it *is* a script.

There are, as I pointed out to HP over thirty years ago, drawbacks to this
besides
the philosophical ones.  Now, if I could just remember what they were :)
