I'm with you Patrick, 8 and a carrot.

I'll try to avoid bringing sex into this and just try to explain by saying I
know the carrot is the worlds favorite vegetable from other similar
"puzzles". Most people will indeed say carrot when asked for a vegetable,
just like they will say apple for a fruit. That is providing the puzzle does
a good job of stifling any creativity or individuality one may wish to
express. As for the numbers ... I don't know. But 7 is the "logical" answer
I guess.

We can try some of these "quick" answers of our own :

QUICK name an operating system !

MPE right ? ... uncanny.

Now QUICK name a laser printer manufacturer !

HP right ? ... says it all.

Now QUICK name a graphical operating system !

It has to be windows. Correct ? .... this is getting scary
(there are always exceptions to the rule and this last question I'm sure
will prove it :)))

And here is one for the kids (arrow down if you want to follow this:) :

Think of a small number.

Got one ?

OK. Now double your number.

Now add six to it.

Now divide the whole thing in two.

Now take away the number you first thought of ....

Ready ? I now have to guess what you have left ..............

3 !!

No it's no always three. The reasoning behind this impressive piece of
complicated math can be obtained by sending me a SAEmail ... :)))
